Lake Taneycomo
Lake Taneycomo was formed with the completion of Powersite Dam in 1913. It was originally a section of the White River, and although it is now technically a lake, it retains the look and feel of a river. It has 2,000+ acres of surface area (depending on the water level) 40+ miles of shoreline, 58 degrees average water temperature and 750,000+ acres of water surrounded by about 1,000 miles of rugged shoreline.
